Fungal Therapy is a non-invasive, fast, and painless way to treat nail fungus. The laser used for the service can penetrate the nail, which allows it to reach down into the fungus, and to destroy it.
It is a more convenient alternative to Oral Anti-fungals and lacks the potential side effects that these pharmaceuticals carry with them.
Fungal Therapy is a quick and easy procedure. Using the laser, the nail fungus can be treated effectively and does not require any downtime for recovery. The service is performed in about 15-20 minutes, and you can return to whatever they were doing that day, as there is no pain associated with this service.
An infection of nail fungus occurs when fungi infect the nails. A nail fungal infection may begin as a white or yellow spot under the tip of your fingernail or toenail. As the nail fungus spreads deeper into your nail, it may cause your nail to discolor, thicken and develop crumbling edges — an unsightly and potentially painful problem.
The number of treatments will vary individually. After the initial treatment, a review is carried out about 3 months later, to see if more treatments are required. Within 3 months, the nail will have grown out by about a third. After 6 months, the nail will have grown out halfway. As the nail grows out, the new nail growth should be healthier.
Immediately following the procedure, your nail may feel warm for a few minutes. In time, your nail should begin to grow out clear of any fungus, and you will begin to see new, healthy nail. Fungal infections may slow the growth of your nail, so resulting time frames will vary. On average, most clients will see results within about 12 weeks.
